£1512 - Ceramic Workshop Edinburgh

"By the end of it's first century £1512 will have a value of £410.7 million... a work of art which in concept has the potential to own the world."
Alan Smith, Art in Security, Art Monthly, May 1985

“£1512” represents the remaining funds of Ceramic Workshop Edinburgh whose operations were frustrated in
1974 by unforeseeable and insuperable financial obstacles.

"A metaphor for the Scottish visual arts in the 1970's"

Craig Richardson, Scottish Art Since 1960
