​This work is part of a continuing series, which began in 1992.
 
Smith’s [. . .] celebration of Conceptualism include[s] his [. . .] work Scottish Windows [(1992)] that [is] at once a punning vernacular reference to the pensions and insurance company Scottish Widows and a play on Duchamp’s Fresh Widows (1920).
