The New World (after Il Mondo Nuovo by Giandomenico Tiepolo)

"Passing through the first reflections and journeying deep into the space beyond the mirrors, are the searching eyes and gesturing figures hidden from us in Tiepolo’s 225-year-old painting, Il Mondo Nuovo.
Prompted by Tiepolo’s painting, the New World
series depicts a journey in search of an answer; but as with the Tiepolo, no answers are found. Ancient ghosts mingle in the space between The New World and Il Mondo Nuovo, never meeting us, but sharing our mutual search for some hope and meaning in the face of an unknown ‘next’."
